Global Policy Dialogue: Addressing the Triple Planetary Crisis through Improved Global Governance

Plataforma CIPÓ, the Global Governance Innovation Network, Stimson Center, Global Challenges Foundation, Foundation for European Progressive Studies (FEPS) and Heinrich Böll Foundation hosted the Global Policy Dialogue: Addressing the Triple Planetary Crisis through Improved Global Governance,” which took place in January 19-20, 2023, in Recife.

Global Policy Dialogue on Reconstructing the Global Peace & Security Architecture

As an integral part of the Annual Meeting of the Academic Council on the UN System on “Making, Keeping, and Sustaining Peace," from 21-22 June 2023 at the U.S. Institute of Peace, three Global Policy Dialogue (GPD) sessions and a Closing Plenary Session were held on the theme of“Reconstructing the Global Peace & Security Architecture”

Global Futures Forum & interim People's Pact

In order to ensure that diverse civil society perspectives are engaged in the preparatory process of the 2024 Summit of the Future and preceding 2023 SOTF Ministerial Forum to build the UN we need, a civil society-led Global Futures Forum (GFF) took place in hybrid format from New York. The result of which was an interim People's Pact for the Future.

Climate Governance Commission Phase II

Climate Governance Commission: Spotlight on Phase II

The Commission aims to fill a crucial gap in confronting the climate emergency, by innovating and proposing feasible, high impact global governance solutions for urgent, exponential climate action, to limit global temperature rise to 1.5°C or below. The Commission seeks to build on and add value to existing knowledge, and to ongoing work on climate and the environment, by focusing specifically on improvements in the global governance architecture to facilitate or leverage high impact climate solutions identified by the Exponential Roadmap and other leading initiatives.
