The 67th convening on the Commission on the Status of Women, is back, renewed, re-energized, and reborn in hybrid format. The following overviews highlight a few key moments and events co-organized by GGIN and partners from 6 - 17 March 2023.
Feminist Framework for the Secretary-General's Our Common Agenda Report
This interactive panel presented a feminist analysis of the UN Secretary General’s “Our Common Agenda” (OCA) that envisions a stronger, revitilized UN. Although the report puts gender equality and women’s empowerment at the center of the UN’s three pillars--peace and security, human rights, and development-- it requires a feminist critique and action-oriented framework to prioritize actions going forward. This panel will contribute to the ongoing debates at the General Assembly, Summit of the Future and other discussions such as the New Agenda for Peace. Find out more.
