2024 UN Civil Society Conference

We were joined in Nairobi, from 9-10 May 2024, by 2158 civil society representatives, 317 officials from Member States, International Organisations, and the UN system, 67 media representatives, and 47 volunteers, from 115 countries, with hundreds more online. They engaged in 62 off-site and online events, 38 onsite workshops on day one, more than 20 ImPACT coalitions on day two, featured 64 exhibits, engaged in multiple media moments and creative partnership-building at the intergenerational hub, and 4 plenary sessions. Sneak Peek Into 2025!

Stay tuned in early 2025 for the readout from the "Summit of the Future Follow-through Retreat: Elevating SOTF Implementation through Research, Monitoring & Policy Dialogues," hosted from 25-26 November 2024 at the Rockefeller Brothers Fund's Pocantico Center just outside of New York. Highlights of this gathering, to conceptualize a proposed Pact Innovation Forum between policy researchers and senior UN Mission and Secretariat officials, include initial work toward developing a multistakeholder Pact Innovation Plan and Pact Monitoring Toolkit to advance Summit of the Future action agenda implementation.
