A flexible and multidimensional instrument to facilitate follow-through on the Pact for the Future through innovative research, dialogue, and multistakeholder coordination across governments, the UN system, and civil society, including an up-to-date calendar of events.
A multi-pronged, evidence-based set of tools to track progress and set-backs related to Pact for the Future implementation, designed to both leverage success to spur further momentum while encouraging course corrections when gaps emerge.

What is the Pact Innovation Forum?
An informal, multistakeholder platform designed to help UN Member States, the Secretariat, and partners across civil society and the private sector to realize the full potential of the Pact for the Future, Declaration on Future Generations, and Global Digital Compact’s actions and Sub-Actions.
Service Areas:
- Policy research (major reports, policy briefs, and commentaries)
- Track 1.5 global and regional policy dialogues
- Monitoring of progress, including a Pact Monitoring Toolkit and Pact Monitoring Portal
- A community of practitioners, researchers, and advocates, guided by a Pact Innovation Plan
Initial elements of the Pact Innovation Plan are showcased in section four (pp. 71-89) of Global Governance Innovation Report 2025: Advancing the Pact for the Future and Environmental Governance (GGIR’25) and of the Logframe component of the Pact Monitoring Toolkit in section two (pp. 20-52) of GGIR’25.
