Information Clearing House Bulletin

Coalition for the UN We Need, the Present & Future Institute, the Global Governance Innovation Network, the International Development Law Organization (IDLO), and Action for Sustainable Development have joined forces to launch the SOTF Information Clearinghouse which aims to summarise and curate headline information from discussions, meetings and consultations on the road to the SDG Summit and Summit of the Future. Here is the first bulletin on the 13, 14, and 15 February Summit of the Future stakeholder consultations:

The 2024 ‘Summit of the Future: Multilateral Solutions for a Better Tomorrow’, proposed by UN Secretary-General António Guterres in his ‘Our Common Agenda’ report, will be a cornerstone in reaffirming the United Nations Charter, reinvigorating multilateralism, boosting implementation of existing commitments, and restoring trust amongst Member States.
According to UN General Assembly resolution (A/RES/76/307), a preparatory Ministerial meeting in September 2023 will precede the Summit of the Future. Against this backdrop and as outlined in the modalities resolution, the Member States have encouraged major groups and other stakeholders (hereafter referred to as: Stakeholders) to participate and engage in the preparatory process of the Summit of the Future. We firmly believe that the views and expectations of Stakeholders on the proposed roadmap for the Summit of the Future will provide an important input for the intergovernmental process and will enrich the debate and decision-making among Member States on what should constitute key elements for the Summit of the Future..
