Representing a truly generational opportunity for making the UN and broader global governance system more inclusive and effective, the September 2024 Summit of the Future is only one year away. Complementing the 16 September SDG Action Summit session on “From the SDG Summit to the Summit of the Future: Building the UN We Need,” while taking advantage of civil society representatives visiting New York for UNGA High-Level Week, this Coalition for the UN We Need advocacy strategy session will map out concrete action steps for the coming year designed to fully maximize the SOTF’s potential and the critical contributions of civil society worldwide. This roll-up-your-sleeves planning meeting will give special attention to key moments of advocacy for the year ahead.
